Not a real problem in virtual worlds yet, but like other media it’s only a matter of time.
And with content creators control expanding in virtual worlds, it will be even harder to control what kind of info, you will receive and get exposed to.

At the Web 2.0 Expo last week, Technologist Clay Shirky argues that information overload isn’t a new problem: it’s really a failure of information filters. Clay argues it has been like that for 500 years, so not news to most of us.

Right now, I rely on mailing lists, searching via (Google/Yahoo/MSN) search engines or RSS feeds.
What kind of “spam” filters could/would be needed to have a tolerable experience in a virtual world?

To busy people, it almost 24 minutes long.
